This year's G(irls)20 Summit in Paris, France brought together 20 girls from each G20 country and a representative from the African Union to discuss ways to empower girls and women.

Run for the Cure York Region

The London Summit 2009

"Belinda Stronach served for the second year as honourary chairperson for York Region’s CIBC Run for the Cure. Over 2,000 runners participated in the event, which raised more than $492,000 for breast cancer research. Run for the Cure is the largest single-day, volunteer-led national event to support the battle against breast cancer in Canada. In total for 2010, the Run raised approximately $33 million in 60 communities across Canada."

At the Clinton Global Initiative in September of 2009, The Belinda Stronach Foundation (TBSF) made a commitment to Promoting Development in the G8/G20 Summit Process. TBSF committed to create a platform that aims to provide greater coordination of global advocacy efforts for the June 2010 G8/G20 Summits in Ontario, Canada, and to promote and educate the Canadian public on development issues.

Applications for the two day conference came to Hamilton, Ontario, from across Canada showcasing unbelievable elements of creativity and originality.

Live to Tell: Up Close and Personal with Sheryl Crow

The London Summit 2009

On May 20, singer and breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow performed for 500 supporters at the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, Ontario. The event raised $375,000 and was hosted by former MP and breast cancer survivor Belinda Stronach. The funds raised will support the construction of the new Breast Centre at Sunnybrook hospital. The event was co-chaired by Sunnybrook Foundation volunteers Anne Odette Kaye and Jodi Stodgell.
